What can be expected from mastering?
When you have your audio mastered with CD Master Now, you can expect the highest quality of sound. Our engineers never squash or over-compress which prevents many problems that can occur doing the mastering process. We know how to use our tools efficiently and when we listen to a mix we get right down to business. We will return your track to you full, warm, and rich in harmonics with the depth and clarity of modern day music. From our studios to your ears, you won't be disappointed in what we can do for you.
How long will it take to receive my masters?
Audio files submitted for a free mastering sample take within 24 to 48 hours to be returned.
If you are submitting single or multiple tracks, those will be returned within 24 to 48 hours. If its a full length album, it may take up to three days.
What file type should I send?
The largest, with the highest bit and sample rate.
.wav and .aiff files recommended
Should I compress my mix before sending?
We leave this completely up to the customer, mix compression is a personal preference. Compression on the master fader will not affect the mastering process. If you liked the sound of the mix with the compressor on before you sent it in, you'll love what you get back. If you remove the compressor from the master fader and the mix doesn't sound quite how you wanted then we recommend compressing the master bus.
Can I mail a usb flash drive?
Yes, you may mail us your flash drive. If the flash drive does not have the storage space to accommodate the original mixes and new mastered files, we will back up all the original files onto a CD before deleting necessary files to make space. Uploading online is the quickest and simplest method.
Do you offer any other services?
Currently we only offer online CD audio mastering and duplication. Restoration services can be provided, rates will vary.
